So we finally conclude our list of the best albums of 2006 according to yours truly. It appeared that The Knife "Silent Shout" would remain on top, but low and behold...we have the changing of the guard.

1. Cat Power "The Greatest"

This year belongs to Chan Marshall aka Cat Power. Maybe not the greatest, but the album definitely left an impression on me as one of her strongest. She started at the top of my list at the beginning of the year, and although The Knife dominated most of the year, 2006 ends with her being at the top of my list.
