Today's Brew | The Mary Onettes

Aside from IKEA, Sweden has definitely become a vibrant place for some interesting music within the past couple of years. An interesting phenomena as the sound is quite diverse and draws its influence from various genres. Perhaps one could parallel how the way the IKEA concept works?
IKEA contends that it has been a pioneering force in sustainable approaches to mass consumer culture. Kamprad refers to the concept as "democratic design," meaning that the company applies an integrated approach to manufacturing and design. (wikipedia)
Well, maybe that's a stretch, but then again, I find the music scene from Sweden to be alot more interesting.



I don't know too much about these guys, but think Echo & Bunnymen and the Jesus and Mary Chain, but Swedish style.
